Show 2016. Celebrating 25 Years of Cumbria Dance

We will be performing at The Sands Centre on the above date. Our show this year is entitled Celebrating 25 Years of Cumbria Dance. All pupils from Pre-Primary upwards will be performing. Please make a note of the date and let us know *ASAP* if your child is not available as we are already sorting costumes and choreographing dances. We appreciate that at this time of year there are many demands on families but it is important that pupils do not miss classes if at all possible as this has an impact on the other pupils in the dance as well as the child themselves. Please complete and return the slip below. There will be a dress rehearsal at the Sands Centre during the day on the 18th. We will give you more details regarding the dress rehearsal nearer the time but every child needs to attend for health and safety reasons as well as staging and costumes etc. Tickets will be available from The Sands Centre from 9am on Monday 11th April 2016 priced at £15 for adults and £12 concessions. Please note that The Sands Centre also charge their own booking fee.

Rambert Workshops

Rambert Workshops at Cumbria Dance Sunday 6th March 2016 We are delighted to be able to offer 3 workshops at our studio delivered by a Rambert animateur on Sunday 6th March. The workshops will give students an insight into Rambert’s work and the chance to explore their own creativity. Each workshop will include: • Contemporary technique warm-up • Exploring repertoire (Ghost Dances – Christopher Bruce) • Creative tasks Workshop 1 – 9:30-11am, £10. For pupils in school years 4-6 (approx. 8-12yrs) Workshop 2 – 11:15-1:15, £12. For pupils in school years 7-9 (approx. 12-14yrs) Workshop 3 – 2-4:30pm, £14. For pupils 14+ and adults. Workshops are open to anyone and not just Cumbria Dance pupils. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
